At a dinner with a client’s development manager a few years ago, the question came up: “Can Cellwar glue plastic to glass over its entire surface in such a way that there are no bubbles or dust inclusions?” We were confident: “Yes, we can do that.” The only question was: “How?”
So we set about working on the task. After countless attempts, tests, research and some sleepless nights we managed to get the hang of it. It worked. We had made the first functional models and prototypes of these operating panels for coffee machines. Then we also had to attend to the client’s specifications. Namely, “The parts must be robust and stable from -40°C to +60°C, and must not come off.” So we then adjusted the complete manufacturing process (black printing, optical bonding etc.) to meet the requirements.
Today coffee machines with our operating panels are used all over the world, from Athens to Zurich, from Bogota to Wellington. In the meantime we have delivered over 20,000 of these operating panels.
With this new technology we can not only produce operating panels for coffee machines but also many other products and applications.
