PET is an unreinforced partially crystalline, thermoplastic polyester. It is characterised by a high mechanical stability, excellent dimensional stability (better than POM), very good wear resistance (comparable with PA 6) and very good sliding properties. PET has also good electrical insulating properties and good acid resistance, it is physiologically harmless. A very low water absorption, which hardly affects the mechanical and electrical properties, and the (within the group of the thermoplastics) comparatively low thermal expansion coefficient are the reason for an excellent dimensional accuracy.
PA is a macromolecular, partially crystalline thermoplastic with high impact resistance. The combination of hardness and stability on the one hand as well as toughness and tensile strength on the other hand is achieved by no other thermoplastic. Today PA is one of the most used plastics in machine construction. It has good chemical resistance and additionally it is bond- and weldable.
POM-C is a highly crystalline thermoplastic. It is characterised by an extremely low water absorption, very high measuring stability and optimal processing properties (short-chipping). Because of the favourable properties – high hardness, stiffness and stability combined with good toughness and chemical resistance as well as favourable friction and wear behaviour – POM-C can be used in many cases instead of metallic materials.
Similar to PPSU and PEI, PSU belongs to the group of the amorphous high performance thermoplastics with very good mechanical, electrical and thermal properties for applications with higher service temperatures combined with mechanical stress.
PI (Polyimide) is a crystalline plastic which is suitable for applications in the high and low temperature range.
ABS has a high scratch resistance and very good mechanical properties. This plastic has a high surface- and volume resistance combined with only very low static charge. The physiological harmlessness and the low stress cracking are further advantages.
Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is a fully fluorinated polymer. Colloquially this plastic is often referred to as Teflon.
PPSU belongs to the group of the amorphous high performance thermoplastics with very good mechanical, electrical and thermal properties for applications with higher service temperatures combined with mechanical stress.
PES (Polyethersulfone) is an amorphous thermoplastic with high temperature resistance.
PEEK is a high performance plastic, which is characterised by high temperature resistance, excellent chemical resistance and excellent mechanical properties.
PP is a homopolymeric thermoplastic. Because of its excellent profile of properties – especially the high chemical resistance and corrosion resistance – it is one of the most widely used materials in the chemical apparatus and container construction and has an excellent cost-benefit potential.
DiBond® is an aluminium composite panel, which was especially developed for modern design ideas, such as the visual communication or casing in the machine construction.
