Apprentice Polymer Technician

High-quality, attractive plastics solutions for the mechanical engineering industry are becoming increasingly important. Plastic – 80% recyclable – is a growth market. As a long-standing SME with approx. 30 employees in Münchenbuchsee (Canton of Bern), we are a successful plastics processor.

For the summer of 2017 we are looking for an

Apprentice Polymer Technician

Polymer Technicians with the Swiss VET diploma (EFZ) manufacture products made of synthetic materials. They plan and monitor the production processes and develop client-specific applications. They make use of production materials in a professional manner while ensuring the maintenance and servicing of CNC and conventional machines, systems and equipment.

Polymer Technicians work, for example, on semi-finished parts and thermoforming. They saw, turn, drill, mill, shape, weld and glue panels, profiles and pipes made of various synthetic materials, and they assemble them into finished products, devices and equipment.

We turn to school leavers who are flexible and interested in versatile plastics as well as people interested in a second apprenticeship, a practical traineeship or a basic apprenticeship. For a second apprenticeship, polymechanics (multi-skilled mechanics), model makers and model formers are invited as are mechanics, carpenters, model building woodworkers and metalworkers. In addition to a capacity for spatial imagination, you have a sense of form, proportion, a structured approach in thought and action, flexibility and the ability to maintain an overview.

Don’t hesitate to contact us. Non-binding. We look forward to getting to know you. We will be happy to inform you about the apprenticeship position and at the same time offer you a career assessment with the help of a career counsellor. If you are interested, please send us your postal or electronic application with curriculum vitae, photo etc.
